MAKING A DEPOSIT

The form provided by a bank that is used for making a deposit is called the checking account deposit ticket. One of the more commonly used deposit tickets is illusrated here.

When you are making a deposit:

1. write or type the date the deposit is made on the front side.
2. List currency and/or cash that is to be deposited.
3. Identify checks to be deposited individually and, if more than three, use the back side of the deposit ticket. If the back side is used for listing checks to be deposited, total the checks and transfer that total to 3a on the front side of the deposit ticket.
4. Total the entire deposit here.

opitional:- No. 5 total and No. 6 less cash received would only be used if the depositor desires part of his deposit in cash. If the depositor desires part of his deposit in cash he should sign his name on line No. 7.
